Although "Food Safe" the finish will not stand up to heavy use such as a serving dish, it is however suitable for light duty items such as snack foods or bread. To clean simply wipe out with a damp cloth, do not submerge. This bowl is not dishwasher safe.
If the bowl is not intended for food consumption, then simply treat it just as any other wooden furniture. The use of furniture polish is recommended periodically to retain the shine. Please remember that sunlight will affect the color of the wood and it is recommended that the bowl be rotated on a consistent basis to allow the color to age in a uniform basis.
